"THAT"

I thought I would share the conversation I had with my 5 year old while I was fixing dinner......

Child: I want "that" thing....

Mom: What thing?

C: You know "that" thing.....

M: No, what thing?

C: "that" thing you had "that" day......

M: What day?

C: "that" day!!!!

M: The thing I had "that" day?

C: Yes! "that" thing.....

M: Why do you want "that" thing (still unaware of what "that" is)

C: I want to play with "that"........

M: (thinking: well that sure narrowed it down?!?!?!)

C: Well, can I have "that" thing??????

M: I don't know what "that" is.....

C: MMMMMOOOOOMMMMMM, it's "THAT" thing you had "THAT" day!!!!!!!

M: Well "THAT" narrowed it down, haha.....

C: MOM!

M: OK, so you want "that", what does "that" look like?

C: It looks like "that" and has "that" thing on it....

M: ........................

C: You know it goes like "that"......

M: ...........................

C: And does "that"......

M: um?????

C: (insert groaning sound followed by child walking loudly away then coming back) You know
"that" thing with the kid?

M: (now really confused) The thing with the kid?????

C: YES! "THAT" thing you had "THAT" day with the kid on it?

M: oh you want to watch Jack Jack Attack on my IPod?

C: YES!!!!!!!

M: the battery is dead on my IPod.

C: (insert loud groan/growl from child followed by stomping away)
