'twas the night with little drew

I wrote this a while back, thought it was funny so I figured I would post it. (Think 'twas the night before Christmas if u haven't figured that out yet, lol)

'Twas The Night With Little Drew

it was a peaceful night here, at the La********** house,
not a creature was stirring , not even a mouse.

the dishes were stacked my the sink without care,
in hopes that the cleaning fairy soon would be there.

the childern we're nestled all snug in their bed,
while visions of summertime danced in their head.
with my body pillow positioned and without leaving a gap,
i snuggled right in for a long quiet nights nap.

when it in the kitchen there arose a small patter,
i closed my eyes tight, to pretend nothing was the matter.
it ran to my bed, as quick as a flash,
ran straight to my bed, with one small crash.

it was quiet for a second in my little dark room,
wondering if the small patter will resume.
when what do i feel crawl up on my bed,
why a miniature person, just what i dread.

with little cold feet, so lively and quick,
i knew in a moment, drew was quite slick.
more rapid than anything should be at night,
he crawled across the bed, with all of his might.

now faster and faster, his approach was quite carefull,
and i lay right there, very prayerful!
i lay there tucked in,  all comfy and snug
now dash away! dash away! my little bug!

and with careful regard to my comfort in mind,
he thought up a plan, his mama he would go find.
so across the house on his feet he flew,
with his ice cold feet, and a teddy bear too.

and then with a shuffle, there was no denying the truth,
i would soon feel the cold feet, of this fast little youth.
as i peeked my eye open, and was turning around,
in came the ice cubes against my skin without a sound.

and then with concern for my comfort in mind,
he layed on my pillow, took all the room he could find.
he snuggled in close, leaving no room to breathe,
i wondered if there was any chance he would leave?

he grabbed the remote, and with utmost precision,
hit the side of my head, wow hes got great night vision!!!
